N5 mobile curtain system for the Bund International Financial and Cultural Center

The Bund International Financial Services Center (B•FC Fuxing Art Center) is located in the middle of the Bund in Shanghai, at the center of th©e North Bund and the South Bund. It was designed by the famous British designer Thomas Heat♣herwick and Foster+Partner. The N5 mobile curtain system is located in the center of the Bund International Financial and Cultural Center. It simulate÷s the curtains hanging from the hats of ancient Chinese emperors. It has t®hree layers of different lengths, and each layer can rotate around the entire bu∏ilding. After completion, it will become a new landmark of this plot and reinterpret the Bund.' This project is positioned as a cultural performance center. The entire buildinαg is located in the core of the project, with a relatively low height (about 28 meters). The surro★unding buildings are gradually rising from near to far. This adds a st<rong visual effect to the building and the entire Bund Center.
The tassels of the N5 mobile curtain of the Bund International Financial Service Center are threeα layers of aluminum tubes with different diameters and e♠xternal decorations, which are hung outside the building. They can rotate in both directions at ¥different speeds under the drive of the driving device. When the lengths of the thre÷e layers of tassels are evenly distributed, the inside and outside are isolatπed. When the short tubes of the three layers of tassels face a certain direction, the insi&de and outside are open in that direction, which can be called a "breathable" c urtain.
Technical Difficulties:
■ Large-scale variable pitch pin gear transmission←
■ Design, production and installation of long circumference high-precision closed-loop cu✘rved track
■ Connection technology of large diameter thin wall aluminum alloy ←pipe and threaded joint
■ Connection technology between high-precision mechanical structures and large-scale building structures
